Billy was a small-town loner
who never did dream
of ever leaving southern Arizona

The Love Note

Dear Kara,

One of my favorite songs (and albums) that you introduced me to when we were first married. I feel I am Billy in this song and that you are my Bonnie. This line says it all for me:

The spirit of this song makes me think of us and the love I have for you. It seems that just now in our lives, I am able to “give you things” that I know you want. I know you don’t need or require things to make you happy or for me to show my love to you. I do get a thrill being able to do a little more for you through my private practice than we’ve been able to afford in the past. You are so classy (really, not “klassy”) in your tastes, style, and dress. Nice things look nice on you. To me, you combine the best of refinement and practicality. You truly do “make the best with what you’ve got.” Such fine, wonderful, admirable traits.

You are mine. I am yours. Gladly. Forever.
